Ampimpa: Where stars can be seen closer than anywhere else

At the entrance of the Astronomic Observatory of Ampimpa, at Amaicha del Valle, there is a sign that reads “a window to the universe”; which is a real statement. You can see the Sun or the Moon as if they were really close thanks to a telescope that reflects the image on a white screen.

Despite the fact that Ampimpa welcomes grown-ups and children, the place provides a unique opportunity for children to see and learn about astronomy… and there’s nothing better than doing this between hills and mountains that enhance the view.

80% of the activities carried out by the Observatory are aimed to education. There are several professionals that teach children fun facts about the solar and moon systems. They also offer guided tours. This will become for sure, an unforgettable experience.
