    Information for travelers

If you have decided to visit Tucuman on this holidays surely it is because you want to enjoy the landscapes of Calchaqui valleys, visit the Independence House where the Argentinean independence was declared, make a tour around Argentina’s North, taste the famous empanadas, practice paragliding in one of the best flying centers of Latin America, meet a friend you made online or just be part of one of the traditional festivities as the one in Simoca or San Pedro de Colalao.

Tucuman is an easy access-destination, most of the bus companies get to our province from many different places of Argentina. There are nonstop flights coming from Buenos Aires and Cordoba. Regarding accommodation in our province, we have hotels, hostels and campsites that adjust to every budget. Once in Tucuman, the first thing you should do is to walk through the city of San Miguel de Tucuman, paying special attention to the architectural heritage of the main buildings, museums, and churches around Independence Square, located in the center of downtown. During this tour, you must visit the Independence House, where you will be able to see the jury room in its original form.

As far as food is concerned, there are endless choices, from the exquisite regional food (empanadas [dough with meat filling], locro [stew], humita [husk filled of corn], tamal [leaf wrapper filled in with corn-based mixture]) to restaurants with thematic meal for every taste.
